Dina Meyer was born and raised in Forest Hills, Queens, New York, but moved to Dix Hills, Long Island in the last term of junior high. Her two brothers are Gregory, her older brother and Evan. At the age of 9 up to 16, she started being involved in the business of entertainment by modelling. Ron Stetson was her teacher at The Neighborhood Playhouse where she started studying Sanford Meisner's acting methods for about three years. Sandra Bullock was among those who received training by this method, as well as Michael Douglas, Jeff Goldblum Leslie Nielsen and Diane Keaton. Her first acting role came in Beverly Hills 90210. This required her moving out into Los Angeles. She was cast as the main character in Johnny Mnemonic in which she did almost every stunt her self, establishing her skills as an actress. Alongside Matt LeBlanc's talent agency and agent, she was also in charge of a variety of roles that recurred in the show Friends.
